The Hindi Urdu Resource Center serves as a home away from home for Flagship students. Through student advising services, media resources, student work stations, special lectures, and numerous student run social events, the Resource Center embodies HUF's holistic approach to language learning and the cultivation of global professionals.
Student Advising
Due to HUF's intense curriculum, every Flagship student's overall degree plan requires careful planning and frequent adjustment. HUF offers academic advising services throughout a student's career. Advising services include:

- Flagship associate director, Sarah Green, is available via appointment for certain advising issues.
- HUF staff can, and often do, accompany students to meet with their department/college academic advisor for registration advising.

Student Work Space
The Flagship's unique setting in historic Homer Rainey Hall provides students a wonderful environment in which to study, both individually and in groups. Lockers are provided for senior HUF students; computer workstations are designated for student use; a media console allows for presentations and screenings; and couches, lamps and tables create a library-like atmosphere conducive for both study and group meetings. At night, the Resource Center hosts student-supervised study halls for Flagship students. Teaching assistants and graduate student mentors often attend the study halls to help with homework and to provide conversational practice.
Social Events
The Resource Center hosts numerous student social events throughout the academic year. 'HUFA' (the student run Hindi Urdu Flagship Association) organizes frequent movie screenings featuring offerings from both classic and recent Hindi Urdu cinema (from Mughal-e-Azam to Dostana). HUFA has also organized a weekly HUF student radio show, filmed a classic Bollywood style Urdu movie, and set-up monthly dinner parties.
