The Hindi-Urdu Flagship program offers advanced Hindi Urdu language learners a four-year honors-level program. The curriculum is designed to help students develop superior-level language skills while pursing degrees in the academic major of their choice. Because of the number of credit hours achieved via HUF courses, many students can add a second major in Asian Cultures and Languages without significant extra coursework.
Freshman and sophomore years consist of a core language course taken each semester and an area content course taken once a year. The junior year consists of HUF's overseas component in India incorporating a language course with major-specific courses and a professional internship relevant to a student's chosen field of study. The senior year consists of an independent, capstone research project, independent language study, and an exit language test.
