The Hindi Urdu Flagship hosts numerous lectures, open houses, workshops, and performance events throughout the year. Click on the headings below to find details on upcoming events and streaming video of past events.

  • Hindi Urdu Speaker Series
    Every semester, the Flagship hosts a leading scholar and/or artist working in the Hindi-Urdu medium today. Both Flagship students and the wider public participate in these seminars. The series also features various workshops and classroom sessions with the speakers. Click on the heading above to view speaker bios and watch streaming videos of recorded seminars.
  • Workshops and Lectures
    HUF often holds teaching workshops and special lectures related to Hindi Urdu pedagogy. Most workshops target teaching practices at the university level. Click on the heading above to watch streaming videos of selected talks from these workshops. Some powerpoint presentations are also available for download.
  • Open Houses
    HUF hosts open houses for prospective students at least once every semester. Open houses allow prospective students to meet HUF staff and faculty, hear an overview of the program, and have individual questions answered in-depth.
