What is the UT Hindi Urdu Flagship Program?
The UT Hindi and Urdu Flagship Program is a four-year undergraduate program that allows students to combine the major of their choice with extensive study of Hindi-Urdu. The program features a semesterly core language course, elective area content courses involving study of Hindi Urdu primary sources, and a significant period of study abroad in India involving both major-specific courses and professional internships conducted in a Hindi and Urdu medium. The HUF program is designed to develop students' intermediate Hindi Urdu skills into professional fluency applicable to a wide variety of future career contexts.
