Prospective Students: Financial Aid

Scholarships

All Flagship students are considered for supplemental Flagship scholarships on a competitive basis. There is no separate application for Flagship scholarships. Instead, to be considered for a Flagship scholarship, students should submit the following applications to their respective organizations:

Based on the information contained in these two applications, the University of Texas will prepare a financial aid package most likely featuring a combination of grants, scholarships, and student loans. If a student is admitted to the Hindi Urdu Flagship program, HUF may offer a further scholarship to supplement this initial package.

Be A Longhorn's Financial Aid section has a good overview of the financial aid process. More information is also available at the UT Financial Aid Office website.

Year in India

It is anticipated that every Flagship student's overseas component in India (usually the entire junior year) will be fully funded. Funding is expected to include UT tuition, airfare, room and board, and HUF related travel within India.

Supplemental Assistance

The Flagship occasionally provides indirect scholarships in the form of further funding for non-HUF course textbooks, laptop computers, and miscellaneous school supplies.
